A Few Days Off,... in Virginia

We just took a few days off to go visit family! The main reason for this trip was to attend the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Chad Houser (Jada, Jamin's sister). We left Monday, September 7th, late at night. Jamin was able to work a few days with his Dad, and Uncle Sam. We saw family, and worked hard to prepare for the wedding.

Two Cute Boys

For those of you not on Facebook, our son Timothy Dale was born July 23rd. He is six weeks old now, it's hard to believe. Here are some pictures from the last few weeks.

Kyrgyzstan Highlights

Since Jamin doesn't blog, and I didn't go to Kyrgyzstan, this post will not do the trip justice. :) I'll just tell a few of the things I do know, and you can at least get an idea of what the trip was like.

Here, Jamin is preaching with an interpreter. It was a new and strange experience for him. They have church in their house, because it is illegal for them to do otherwise. I think they have to have 200 members to start a "church", so that could take a while because you really can't go soul winning either.


They took the kids from the orphanage fishing one day. They took turns going out on this little raft.


This is in the back of the orphanage. This is their cow they use for milk. Notice how grown up it is. Hardly anyone mows or uses a weedeater there.


Most of their food and other necessities have to purchased at a bazaar. There are lots of different ones all over the city. Beware, some of these pictures are totally gross!







I can't remember this little girl's name, but I think she is so adorable. She is one of the orphans there.

I am sorely lacking for details. :) It was a wonderful trip and I know the Lord did a lasting work in their hearts!

An End to the Missions Trip

Well, it has been a long two weeks...well, fifteen days to be exact. I'm so glad the Lord allowed Jamin to go on this mission trip to Kyrgyzstan. I look forward to posting some of his pictures and telling some of his tales of the trip. Alicia and I are going to the airport in a little bit to pick up our men. I am so excited!

Thank you to my parents, brothers and sisters, and my wonderful in-laws for taking care of me and Jackson while Jamin was away. I could not have done it without you. You have encouraged and refreshed me! I love you all!!

A Post for May

I just haven't had the heart for blogging lately. It seems so many things have happened, there's no way I can catch up. I'll just share a few!!

Jamin has wanted honeybees for a long time! He started talking to my Dad a couple years ago, and Dad got some. He is actually working on his fourth hive now. It's just never been the right time for Jamin to get some. But he has made a few hives here and there, and bought a couple things "just in case." Well, a family in our church called him up one night and there was a swarm in a tree in their yard. So we packed up some stuff and went over there. Jamin was able to get them into his hive!! You can see from the picture that he wasn't totally prepared, with a mosquito net, and duct tape around his gloves!

I was so happy for him!! And it didn't cost a penny.

I had a very sweet Mother's Day...nothing extravagant, just precious and memorable. In the afternoon, we went to the park to take some pictures. I love my family!




Baby Timothy Dale is on the way. The due date is July 24th...it's almost time!


Now, Jamin and Bro. Jimmy Reagan (our pastor) are in Kyrgyzstan on a missions trip. They left Monday, May 18, and will be home on June 2. This is a HUGE adjustment for me. I am such a dependent wife all the time. But being 31 weeks pregnant makes everything just a little harder. As my emotions escalated over the past few months, I decided I had better go to Mom's while he's gone, or lose my sanity. So I have spent this week at Mom's. We've done all the fun stuff, shopping, eating out, getting my hair highlighted. But I miss Jamin in a very big way. I have been able to talk to him several times...that makes my day! Jackson is having a blast. Being a very indoor person, I have hardly ever taken him outside to play. But here, he's played outside all week. He's had so much fun, playing with "beep beeps."

Resurrection Sunday!

Catching Up

Well, time to catch up. I get so aggravated when I check other blogs, only to find that they have not updated, so I'm updating mine so people don't get aggravated with me.

Life has been busy lately, at home, at church, at play. Our car bit the dust recently. We have been pretty sad about it. I have had it since Spring 2002. *sniff, sniff* So Jamin's parents offered to let us borrow one of their vehicles, so we took a trip to Virginia. Jackson did so well, playing with everyone. He warmed up quickly, and I was so happy to see everybody playing with him and talking to him. I didn't take many pictures, but here's one of Jackson eating some of Grammy's Strawberry Jam. Yumm.......


Just at home. He loves to sit in things and climb on things.


Playing in a box of cars Daddy brought from Grammy and Pawpaw's house. I think he played with these cars for almost an hour. :)




We love baths!


Mom and Dad came for a visit this past week. Jackson did great with them. He loved to play, and even be held!


Jackson has been practicing with a fork. He's doing pretty good. I think it's so cute.



Jackson already loves his baby BROTHER! We found out Friday about the baby. We are so excited to have another boy in our family!


This is Jackson today. It has been so beautiful. He loved being outside.


We're still house shopping, but getting SO close. I am so excited to own a home.
