Worth a Thousand Words

Mom & Dad's Visit

Mom and Dad came up, oh... about three weeks ago, I guess. I've not been keeping up lately. Mom already blogged about it. But I'm just getting around to it. They came Thursday around lunch time and left Saturday around lunch time. Friday, we went out for a while, to the park and to an Amish store. The store was loaded with all kinds of swings, play equipment and gazebos outside. They had brought Daniel (my three-year-old nephew), so he and Jackson had fun playing outside for a long time. Here are a few pictures from that special Friday:

Dad put Jackson down the twisty-slide. It made me kind of nervous, but he couldn't fall off. He looks funny in this picture, ready to go down, but he LOVED it!

Friday, night, we got Daniel singing all kinds of songs. So, Saturday he did it for the camera. He was so adorable!!

Daniel is so much fun! I hardly ever get to see him, so I treasured those few days playing with him!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy November

I hope everyone is having a great November. It's almost time for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can't believe it's this time of year already! It has gone by so fast. Jackson is precious! He is into everything! He loves to climb, open, throw, spill, and scream. He's your typical boy, and yes he is spoiled. But you have to practice being a parent, right? We'll get it all figured out.

I haven't uploaded pictures in a while, so I can't post any (obviously). But I'll fill everyone in on what's been going on. Basically, the same things are happening around here. Jamin has been working and I have been homemaking.

More specifically, I have been scrapbooking a lot lately! Sometimes the mood just hits and there I go for days. I really want some new stuff for Christmas (hint, hint*). I've also been playing Christmas music and burning yummy-smelling candles and oils.

Oh yeah, and I've been on a diet, er, lifestyle change. I've lost 11 pounds the last 6 weeks! My goal is to lose 13 more. I'm fitting into clothes that I haven't worn since I got married. Yea! Yesterday, some ladies in the church and I went shopping in Washington Courthouse. The greatest thrift store in the country is there. I got some new clothes, all size 10s or Mediums! Yea! Then we went to Goodwill and I got a dress and two beautiful suits (on an AR friend loan). All Size 10s! I guess I am kind of glad for this accomplishment! I don't guess! I'm proud of it! Anyway, I just wanted to share that. Sorry to the few men who read my blog. I know this bores you. :)

I guess that's all for now. I just wanted to update so I wouldn't lose my "million-reader" status. :)
