Our Anniversary Trip

June 11 was our 4th anniversary. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. We are so happy together! Life is not without its problems and selfish, unhappy moments. But we are so happy with the path that God has chosen for our lives.

For our anniversary trip, we took a drive up to Dayton for two nights. There is a National Air Force Museum there. It was really a ton of fun!

Here's Jackson sitting up for the very first time in our motel room. :) Cutie. (He's watching TV too; he LOVES it.)

Did you know that Jimmy Stewart was a highly decorated general in the Air Force? I thought this was really neat. Probably everybody already knows it but me. :)

Later that night, we met up with Jeanene and Jase for a Mexican supper. We had a great time catching up with all our kids.

We loved the museum and highly recommend it. It had free admission and parking. It even had a Presidential hangar. You have to have an i.d. and reservations to see it. They have President Kennedy's Air Force One there. We didn't get to go because we didn't really know about it until they were filled up for the day. They also have an IMAX, which we did. It costs extra, but it's worth it. I love trips away....so fun!

To my husband...

Part of wanting a baby (since we've been married) has been because I knew you would be such a wonderful dad. And you are! We are so blessed with Jackson in our lives. I love watching you care for him. Happy first Father's Day, Sweetheart!
*Give credit where credit is due! Thanks, Alicia, for working through such a demanding design session! :) It looks great!

Summerfest Parade

Last Sunday, our church entered a float in the Summerfest Parade (in the afternoon, of course). :) It was SO much fun. We worked on the float for a few days before, and lots of church people turned out to walk, hand out tracts and popsicles, and ride on the float. We were able to pass out a few hundred gospel tracts.

Simple, but cute, our float actually won first prize!

The babies were so good. They had an umbrella shielding them from the sun.

Lined up and ready to go

Jamin and I walked and pushed Jackson in the stroller.

It was a very long, hot and tiring Sunday, but "it's a good tired." We all had so much fun. It all went pretty well for a first time

Then we had a flood! It rained so hard, starting Monday night, through Wednesday afternoon. The power was out all over West Union. Wal-Mart was even closed because of it. Pretty hard to believe, I know. :) Our church basement got flooded pretty terribly and still smells sour today. The pictures are terrible, but you can get an idea of the water.

We actually ended up having church in the basement Wednesday because the tornado sirens went off just before church started, and there were warnings up until around 7:30 or 8:00. It's been pretty interesting around our church lately.

Now here are just a few sweet home pictures of you-know-who.

Thank you for stopping by!
