Tennessee...aahhhh

This past Saturday we went to a basketball game in Hillsboro. It was Crown vs. Southern State Community College (or something like that). It was a lot of fun. I didn't take any pictures of the game, but I did take this picture of Mrs. Sharon Booth holding Jackson. Our family has known the Booths all of my life. Their daughter went to Crown the same time I did, and their youngest son is there now, and plays on the basketball team.

Here's Jackson after Daddy helps him suck his thumb. It's so cute!

Ready for church on Feb. 3. It's so wonderful to go to church as a family, even if I do end up in the nursery more often than not. :)

Ready to go to Tennessee! Well, we thought we were ready. Jackson had a rough time in his carseat. We're praying he'll do better on the way home. I don't mind if he cries if he's just crying because he doesn't like his seat. But if he's crying because he feels all alone back there, or just because he wants Mommy, I have a tough time handling that. Jamin said that's why he bought ear plugs. (He's kidding.)

Here's my precious Granny Heidel holding Jackson. I'm so glad she got to see him while he's still little.

Here's Mom (Mimi) giving Jackson a bath in the kitchen sink. He loved it (and so did Mimi!).

Uncle Gene and Jackson (my mom's brother). I forgot to get a picture of Aunt Patsy (mom's sister). I'm sorry, Aunt Patsy!

My sister Kristan (Auntie K) and Jackson. I didn't get one of her when they visited OH. In case you can't tell, ;) she is expecting a baby in April - her fourth boy! :)

Four generations: Granny Snow, Dad, me and Jackson

He was so sweet after church last night, grinning for Daddy!

Parenthood is so much fun! Jackson is a little tired and cranky right now. He's had lots of visitors and a different schedule. I'm still glad we came, but dread isn't a strong enough word to describe how I feel about another long car ride. :) I'm sure it will be fine. We also had some pictures done the other night in my brother's studio. Between crying, we got some great pictures. Here are a few, but I'll be posting those at the end of the week, Lord willing.

Y'all come back now, ya hear?

Want a laugh?

Click here, and then click here.

Aren't those so funny? They're on my brother's blog (Jonathan), and I thought it would be much easier to link there than to find them and post them myself. :) I hope they made your day brighter. :)

Well, we've made it to 100 posts! Yea! How fun blogging has turned out to be. And thank you to all my faithful readers who continue to check in, even though I have turned into one of "those bloggers" (who only post a few times a month). Here are some more pictures.
Sweet little face!

"Daddy time"

I know this is a terrible picture, but he looks so adorable. This is how I am able to walk on the treadmill. Sometimes he sleeps, but he really likes to walk with me...and it burns extra calories! :)

Poor baby!

I love my boy!

Our love for this little guy grows every day! We are so thankful. It is a wonderful thing to be a parent.

In other news, :) I got my wedding ring back on this week. The problem is, it will not come back off. I tried everything yesterday, lotion, dish soap, ice. It won't come off! But I figure as I lose a little more weight, I will eventually be able to get it off...I hope.

We're going to Tennessee this week! Yea! I can't wait for my grandmothers to see Jackson. It will be so much fun. Then the next week, we're going to Virginia. Jamin is laid off from his job for a month or so, so we can do whatever we want. I'm hoping Jackson will travel well. We'll see.

Happy February!

Enjoying our baby!

Mommyhood is so much fun! I cherish every day, and every night (all night long). I have not taken as many pictures as I always thought I would. I find myself feeling guilty about that but really, he's awake or he's asleep right now. Sometimes he smiles, but it's hard to catch that. :) But I'm working harder at making sure I capture all the sweet moments.

Jackson and Mommy. We love this little shirt he's wearing. I had to take a picture!

Jamin is making a little banjo (for whatever reason), and it's just the right size. Jackson didn't like it though.

He's getting really attached to his pacifier lately. I think it's adorable, except at night when he just can't keep it in. :)

He has grown into some of his clothes faster than I thought he would. I love these little overalls!

We wanted a snow picture. I love his little snowsuit.
I'll keep the pictures coming. The little one will be a month old on Monday. So hard to believe! It goes by just as fast as everyone said. Have a great day and thanks for checking in!

Jackson...what else is there?

First real bath. He really liked it, and did so good.

Funny how he can look like this one second and be screaming the next. :)

Thank you for looking. I have loved everyone's comments. :) I also appreciate your prayers. He is doing very well, but every cry or sniffle sets my mind to working overtime. Nobody told me how much I would worry as a new mother. :) This new kind of love is overwhelming. What a wonderful little gift!

Our sweet son

We have had a great first week with Jackson (minus the first two nights...they were a bit difficult :)). He is a good baby, and even sleeps great at night, 4 and 5 hours at a time. Sometimes he just lays awake and looks at us (or tries to). He loves to be talked to and sung to. We LOVE being parents! Here come the pictures!

He's here!!

Jackson was born yesterday at 3:04 pm. Everything went well, and now we are trying to rest. The adjustments of being a new parent can be overwhelming, but Jamin and I are so thankful for a perfectly healthy and precious baby boy.

Isn't he cute? (That's my pink robe, not his blanket).
There will be many more pictures to come!! Thank you all for looking! And thank you to those who were praying for us.

Preparing...

Our lives are spent waiting right now. :) This is where we went to a Christmas parade a few weeks ago. It was pretty cold, but the parade was small-town and very short. It was lots of fun.
Our decorations
Jackson's room is finished right now...I think. I keep thinking of other things I need to do.

His going home outfit, unless I change my mind again.
And last but not least, our little man himself. I had an ultrasound today. Since I am over 36 weeks now, he looks absolutely adorable. Here he is:
Look at his chubby little cheeks! The technician measured and thought he was 7 and a half pounds already! It sounds big to me, but he's in the normal range they say. :)
Thanks for looking!
